Summit Glazing had reached a significant milestone in its growth when we were approached by the visionary architect Peter Cardew to take on a unique and challenging project. The project was a testament to Peter’s bold and innovative approach to architecture.
Peter Cardew had presented us with several challenging opportunities, including the installation of a Profilit glass wall, multiple double mitre curtainwall openings, and intricate skylight systems.
This open-concept design cleverly utilizes floor-to-ceiling mitre windows, offering a clear, uninterrupted view of the backyard and creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. A significant feature is the inclusion of a Profilit floor-to-ceiling system, known for its high thermal performance and light-diffusing properties, enhancing the overall ambiance of the interior. The fusion of these glazing techniques underscores the transformative potential of glass in modern architecture, providing an exquisite balance of aesthetic appeal, functionality, and energy efficiency.
