West Point Grey 9

This unique residential build on Vancouver’s West Side represents a technically ambitious collaboration that required deep coordination and material expertise. Summit Glazing was brought in to deliver a complex glazing scope, weaving multiple Schüco systems into a single, cohesive visual narrative. Every element, from curtain wall alignments to operable transitions, was custom-calibrated to match a highly architectural envelope.

At the heart of the project is a carefully composed phantom curtain wall built using Schüco FWS 50.SI. This assembly appears visually seamless, yet required exacting planning to resolve profile mismatches with adjacent FWS 60 CV ribbon windows. Custom framing details and strategic alignment brought clarity to the façade, enabling both fixed and operable glazing to function seamlessly together without compromise.

Summit also supplied and installed AWS 75.SI and AWS 75 PD.SI window units, selected for their insulation values and profile uniformity. ASE 80 Design Line lift-and-slide doors and AD UP 75 swing doors further expanded the operable access points, while maintaining the slim, refined aesthetic expected throughout the home.

Executed in partnership with Coastline Development and designed by Scott Posno Architecture, this home is a testament to applied ingenuity. The final result reflects Summit’s ability to coordinate across system families, resolve advanced transitions, and maintain visual discipline on site. This is a project best appreciated in person, where material continuity and technical discipline reveal themselves in every opening.
